CEO Livestock Development Board urges rural youth to get free training
SRINAGAR, JANUERY 15: Chief Executive Officer, Livestock Development Board Kashmir, Dr. Ramesh Razdan today interacted with PRI’s, Sarpanchs, Village Level Workers, dairy farmers and rural youth to generate awareness about MAITRI, a self-employment scheme.
He said that the scheme is centrally sponsored with a tapering stipend and urged rural youth to come forward to get trained for a period of three months.
He further said that the is training free of cost and the trainee will have to return to serve the cattle in uncovered far flung villages to boost milk production.
He informed that presently 20 rural youth from Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian and Kupwara are being trained.
The CEO was accompanied by VAS Hariganiwan Dr. Syed Sumbal, and other concerned.
